Quench your thirst of the opening of the Gas Lamp Lounge
THIRSTY WORK: From left, Alistair Brown, Aaron Ellis and Phil Ellis.
THE deep freeze has failed to snuff out the opening of Louth's newest bar.
The Gas Lamp Lounge has re-ignited the lights in the former head office of Louth Gas Light Company in Thames Street, which first opened its doors in 1826 but closed towards the end of the last century.
The transformation of the historic building began three years ago when real ale producer Phil Ellis expanded from his garage at Fulstow and set up his micro-brewery in the old gas light offices – making it the first brewery in Louth for more than a century.
Now the property has been transformed into a haven for traditional drinkers, in what Phil hopes will become part the regeneration of Louth Canal which runs alongside the new bar.

Welcome to our news page. We are planning on using this page to keep you up to date with any brewery news and of course details of the Gas Lamp Lounge Bar.
It has taken 3 years to get the gas lamp lounge up and running Pictures are below of some the progress and are now being added to show you the work that was going on .
We have now changed our pump clips. We are keeping the basic design but the clips will no longer be on hot drinks coasters. The size we wanted were imported from America and they have shot up in price due to the bad exchange rate. it is a shame but the new one's look very nice and are slightly larger.
Please do not send requests for pump clips as we do not send them out.
